As part of their ongoing quality-monitoring programme they’ve discovered a problem with the above product. They’ve found that the material used to make the cotton buds is contaminated which could lead to an infection, especially if used in the delicate eye area or if used in the nose or mouth. The safety and well-being of all their customers is very important to them so they are asking that if your cotton buds are from the above batch numbers, that you stop using the buds immediately and return them to your nearest Boots store where you’ll receive an alternative or refund.
To check if yours could be affected please look at the side of the box where you’ll see some printing. The batch number will be printed in black, just like the image above. If the code is 01092103 or 01092093, then please return them. If you’ve bought these buds for someone else would you please let them know about this as soon as possible. No other cotton buds, or Boots cotton wool products are affected by this recall.
