Counterfeit
Durex Condoms
It has been brought to the attention of Durex and the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) that a quantity of counterfeit condoms in fake Durex packaging may have been supplied to some pharmacies and retail outlets in the UK.
The fakes are:
* Durex Extra Safe 12 pack batch number 20602503
* Durex Fetherlite 12 pack batch number VR3073C
Poor printing quality on the fake boxes means the letter C at the end of this number may also appear as an "E" or a "€". On the condom foil the batch number is printed as VR3073 followed by a "U".
PLEASE BE AWARE THESE ARE NOT DUREX CONDOMS
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED EXTRA SAFE OR FETHERLITE CONDOMS
* Check the bottom of the packaging
* If the number on the bottom is either VR3073C or 20602503 do NOT use the condoms
* Take the box of condoms back to where you bought them from. Anyone who has purchased counterfeit condoms should ask for a full refund or a replacement with authentic Durex condoms.
NO OTHER BATCHES OF DUREX CONDOMS ARE BELIEVED TO BE AFFECTED
