Abru, Arrow & Homebase Aluminium Stepladders
Abru Ltd are recalling the following products manufactured between 11th July 2005 and 4th August 2005:
PLEASE NOTE ONLY STEPLADDERS WITH THE BATCH NUMBERS LISTED IN THE TABLE BELOW ARE AT RISK.
* Domestic Aluminium Stepladders (Abru, Arrow & Homebase Brands)
* Blue Seal Professional Aluminium Stepladder
Abru have identified that there may be a SAFETY ISSUE with some of these stepladders, which could result in the product failing in use and possible injury. Any potentially faulty product cannot be identified visually - the only means of identification is from the Batch Numbers.
Batch Numbers are given on labels and these labels are located on the inside of the leg or the underside of the platform.
These products are sold through B&Q, Homebase (Homebase branded), Wilkinson, and other DIY, Hardware and Supermarket outlets.
If you have purchased a stepladder since 11th July 05 with one of the following Batch Numbers PLEASE STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY, and return it to the store from which you purchased it as soon as possible, where an exchange or full refund will be given.
NO OTHER ABRU, ARROW OR HOMEBASE PRODUCTS ARE AFFECTED BY THIS RECALL.
