Raleigh / Triumph BMX Bikes

 

RALEIGH WOLF / RALEIGH ACE PICK / TRIUMPH REACT BMX BIKES

A defect has been detected on the handlebar stem fitted on the above BMX bikes.
The welded joint between the stem column and the stem handlebar clamp may show signs of fatigue over time and crack causing the lower section of the stem clamp to come away from the stem column resulting in loss of control of the bike.

As a precautionary measure, they are recalling the above bikes to allow new stems to be fitted. It is only these models affected in this recall as they share a common stem.

No other Raleigh or Triumph bikes are affected

A new stem will be available week commencing 10th December 2007 and They ask you to contact them using the following web link where you will be able to register your bike.
Your registration will trigger an automated instruction to your local selected Raleigh bike retailer, who will conduct this rework on their behalf for you free of charge.

You must stop using the bike immediately and contact us as detailed above.

If you purchased one of these bikes from either Argos or Halfords please do not return your bike to them. These outlets will not be handling this rework. They have arranged for mechanics to conduct this rework for you at your local Raleigh bike retailer via their registration process.
